Bobby J "Whitey" Myers

March 6, 1943 - September 4, 2017

Bobby Myers (Whitey) 74 of Bridgeport Ohio died Monday September 4, 2017 at his home.

He was born March 6, 1943 a son of the late Amol and Madge (Lehey) Myers in Bellaire, Ohio.

Whitey was a laborer for the Union, Local 1149 for 34 years.

He enjoyed going for walks, car shows and country music.

He married his wife Evelyn “Tink” Taylor on December 31, 1967 and shared many wonderful years with her.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife as well as a son Robert Myers and a sister Shirley Mowder.

He is survived by his children, Elizabeth (William) Myers Young of New Martinsville, WV, Robert Myers of Bellaire, Ohio and Steve (Cari) Myers of St. Clairsville, Ohio.

In addition he is survived by his siblings Don (Jeannie) Myers of St. Clairsville, Ohio and Nancy Fitzgerald of New Martinsville, WV, as well as five grandchildren Cassidy, Cody (Diana) Travis, Rachel and Hank and four great-grandchildren Jacob, Hanna, Kynidee and Brynlee.

He is also survived by his companion and friend Ruth Henry of Wheeling, WV.

Family and friends will be received at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Homes & Crematory, 441, 37th Street, Bellaire, Ohio 43906 on Saturday September 9 from 1 until time of funeral service at 3 pm with Rev. James Hoff officiating.

Final disposition will be held at the convenience of the family.
