Mary Ruth McNear, 86 of Powhatan Point, Ohio died Monday, January 1, 2018 at her home.

She was born May 23, 1931 in Terra Alta, west Virginia a daughter of the late Robert and Ruth Goodwin Lewis.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, James H. Stonebreaker and Charles F. McNear and her sister, Sylvia “Tilly” Dixon.

Surviving are her children, James (Robin) Stonebreaker of Beallsville, Ohio, Paul (Donna) Stonebreaker of Powhatan Point, Ohio, Roy Stonebreaker of Masontown, West Virginia, Barbara (Ira) Smouse of Masontown, West Virginia and Chuck Stonebreaker of Medina, Ohio, her aunt, Ruby Moyer and caregiver, Tom Hubbard. Also several grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received at the Powhatan Cemetery Chapel on Thursday from 1 pm until time of services at 3 pm. Burial follows in the Powhatan Cemetery.
