Robert D. Trautman Jr. 64 of Bridgeport, Ohio died Tuesday April 19, 2016 at Wheeling Hospital.

He was born September 22, 1951 a son of the late Robert D. and Loretta Faye (Alwine) Trautman Sr.

Robert was a Methodist by faith and proudly devoted 32 years of service to the citizens of the Village of Bridgeport as Superintendent of their water Department. He was a member of Bridgeport Son’s of the Legion and the Eagles as well as a lifetime member of the Bridgeport Volunteer Fire and Emergency Department.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Robert is survived by his siblings, Sandra Trautman of Bridgeport, OH, Lynn Moscato of Brookside, OH, Donna (Arthur) Steadman of Jacobsburg, OH, Debbie (Frank) Britton of Bridgeport, OH, Pamela (Keith) Marody of Lansing, OH, Vickie Trautman of Brookside, OH, Becky Trautman of Bridgeport, OH, Bonnie (Edward) Brown of Flushing, OH and Jerrie (Leroy) Lewis of Bridgeport, OH. In addition he was uncle to 26 nieces and nephews. In accordance with his wishes no formal viewing will be held.

A private burial will be held at Weeks Cemetery with Rev. John Jackson officiating at the convenience of the family.
