Ruth Evans, 70 of Bellaire, Ohio died Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at Liza’s Place in Wheeling WV.

She was born November 21, 1944 a daughter of the late Harold and Margaret (Bennington) Travis in Bellaire, Ohio.

Margaret was a Methodist by faith and loved to play bingo. She worked for City Restaurant as a waitress for 20 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Piere Evans, a brother Richard Travis as well as two children, Charlene and Piere Evans.

She is survived by her children Margaret (Alan) Huguley of Waldo, FL, Theresa Evans of Bellaire, Ohio, Melanie Stevens of Bellaire, Ohio and Gennie (John) Leonard of Bellaire, Ohio. She is also survived by her siblings, Mary Ann McDonald of Brilliant, Ohio, Robert Travis of Bellaire, Ohio, Harold Travis Jr. of Flushing Ohio and a sister in law Betty Travis of Tiltonsville, Ohio along with nineteen grand children and five great grand children.

Family and friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 pm on Thursday, September 10, 2015 at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Homes & Crematory 441, 37th street, Bellaire, Ohio 43906. A committal service will be held on Friday, September 11, 2015 at the Belmont County Memorial Park Cemetery.
