Patricia Lee (O'Connor) Thalman

Patricia Lee (O’Connor) Thalman, 78, of Shadyside, Ohio died Monday, December 7, 2020 at Continuing Healthcare of Shadyside.


She was born February 19, 1942 in Martins Ferry, Ohio, daughter of the late Bob and Rose (Rashka) O’Connor.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Howard Thalman on December 6, 2012.


She was a 1960 graduate of Martins Ferry High School and also graduated from Scott College of Cosmetology in Wheeling, WV.  She was a beautician in Shadyside where she resided with her family for 56 years.  She was also a homemaker and active in the lives of her grandchildren.  She enjoyed road trips, most notably to the Amish country, vacationing at Myrtle Beach with her family and going shopping and to the movies.


She is survived by her two loving children, Susan (Larry) Howell of Shadyside and William (Diane) Thalman of Murrysville, Pennsylvania, and six grandchildren, Jody, Rachel, Brian, Eric (Megan), Heather and Mark.  She is also survived by her brother, Michael (Margie) O’Connor of Shadyside.


Viewing will be at Bauknecht-Altmeyer funeral home in Shadyside on Friday, December 11 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM, followed by a memorial service at Greenwood Cemetery in Wheeling at approximately 12:30 PM.  A live remote viewing of Patricia’s service will be available by going to Patricia’s obituary on
