Lee Ann Morgan, 61 of Shadyside, Ohio died Monday, April 11, 2016 in the Belmont Community Hospital in Bellaire, Ohio.

She was born January 16, 1955 in Bellaire, Ohio a daughter of Charles Frederick and D. Jean Keyser Morgan.

Lee Ann was the owner and operator of the Shadyside Dairy Queen and just began her 45th season. She was a member of the St. Mary Catholic Church in Shadyside, Ohio and member of her long standing card club.

Lee Ann’s dedication and love for her beloved community was instilled in the kids who worked for her at the Shadyside Dairy Queen. She ran it her way with principles and values she learned from her parents and a tight knit family. She taught discipline and a great work ethic to her employees. She afforded kids their first opportunity at a job and instilled great customer service and responsibility. Through her quiet generosity she supported many community and school events.

Surviving in addition to her parents, Charles F. “Shorty” and Jean Morgan of Shadyside, Ohio are her sisters, Lois J. and her husband, Brian Pierce and Tracey and her husband, Jay Conforti both of Pickerington, Ohio and her brother, Jay A. (Sandee) Morgan of Shadyside, Ohio. Also her nieces and nephews, Lucas J. and his wife, Holly Morgan, Ethan N. Morgan and Olivia M. Morgan, Andrew M. Pierce, Jillian M. Conforti and Ava C. Conforti, her adopted son and close friend, John Adam Hamilton, her “kids,” the DQ crew: and many cousins and many friends.

Family and friends will be received at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Homes & Crematory 3900 Central Avenue Shadyside, Ohio on Thursday from 2 to 8 pm. Funeral liturgy with Mass will be celebrated on Friday at 11 am in the St. Mary Catholic Church in Shadyside, Ohio with Fr. Samuel R. Saprano, as Celebrant. Inurnment in the Powhatan Cemetery in Powhatan Point, Ohio at the convenience of the family.
