Andrew Joseph Destifanes, 57, of Steelville, Mo, formerly of Shadyside, Oh, died Saturday, Sept. 8, 2018, at his home.

Andrew was born Dec. 22, 1960, in Bellaire, a son of Sue Ann Merryman Destifanes and the late James (Jimmy) Destifanes.

He was a member of the Bricklayers Local #1 in St. Louis, Mo, where he was employed by Gillespie and Powers for 40 years, and was a Catholic by faith.

He was proceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Andrea (Andrew) and Frances Allietta Destifanes and maternal grandparents, Joseph Delbert and Mary Alice Saunders Merryman.

Surviving in addition to his mother are his wife, Beth Hickman Destifanes; two daughters, Courtney Destifanes, Marietta, Oh, Tesa Destifanes, Shadyside; three brothers, Jim Destifanes, Robert (Norma) Destifanes, of Rolla, Mo; Stevie (Heather) Destifanes, two sisters, Kim (Bill) Marling, and Linda (Brent) Holloway, all of Shadyside; two grandchildren, Brooke and Ethan Meeks; Uncle Andrew (Dusty) Destifanes, Bellaire; Aunt Betsy (Jack) Roth, Cadogan, Pa; many nephews, nieces, cousins, friends, co-workers/extended family around the country, and the Gillespie family.

There will be a service held at Hutson Funeral Home, Steelville, Mo., Saturday, Sept. 29, 2018 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. A celebration of his life/memorial service will be held in Shadyside and announced at a later date.  Bauknecht-Altmeyer is assisting the family.
