Ann Rose DeVendra, 97 of Bellaire, Ohio died Sunday, August 25, 2019 in the Wheeling Hospital.
She was born July 23, 1922 in Bellaire, Ohio a daughter of the late Louis and Theresa Sinko Potetz.
Ann was a homemaker, member of the St. John Catholic Church in Bellaire, Ohio and former member of the Catholic Womens Club and the Sons of Italy.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Vincent P. “Jimmy” DeVendra on November 4, 2000, her sister, Theresa M. Holler Francis and her brothers, John and Max Potetz.
Surviving are her sons, Philip (June) DeVendra of Glen Dale, West Virginia, Gary (Jan) DeVendra and James (Lynne) DeVendra both of Bellaire, Ohio her sister, Colletta Sbrockey of Shadyside, Ohio. Also her grandchildren, Stacy (Nick) Cooper of Leesburg, Virginia, Nicole (Daniel) Hughes of Wheeling, West Virginia and Vincent (Becky) DeVendra of Natick, Massachuesetts, seven great grandchildren, Sophia and Tristan Cooper, Damian, Clara, Veronica and Leo DeVendra and Audrey Hughes, several nieces and nephews and her special cat, Josie.
Ann’s family would like to thank her caregiver, Linda.
Family and friends will be received at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Homes & Crematory 441 37th Street Bellaire, Ohio on Wednesday from 2 to 8 pm. Funeral liturgy with Mass will be celebrated at the St. John Catholic Church in Bellaire, Ohio on Thursday at 10:30 am with Fr. Daniel Heusel, as Celebrant. Interment in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Bellaire, Ohio.

I would drive my dad up to Ohio several times. My Aunt and Unclealways had us over to eat. I remember this one time Aunt Annmade 3 kinds of soup. When I make them I always remember her.
