Bertha Thomas, 87, of Powhatan Point, Ohio passed away Friday, January 14 2022.
She was born January 18, 1934 in Harts Creek, West Virginia. A daughter of the late Frank and Ester (Elkins) Farmer.
Bertha was a Baptist by faith and was a member of the Riverside Baptist Church in Clarington, Ohio.
She loved cooking, baking, gardening, making furniture, and vacationing at Myrtle Beach with her sisters.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings; Louise Workman, Glenn Farmer, Helen Appell, Kenneth Farmer, and Janis Wilson.
Surviving are her husband, Otto Wayne Thomas, whom she married November 7, 1953; two children, Randel (Maria) Thomas of North Olmsted, Ohio, and Lisa (Gary) Straka of Old Brookland, Ohio; four grandchildren, Sayonada, Jessica (Mark), Landon (Emily), and Logan; five great grandchildren, Benjamin, Vivienne, Penelope, Mateo, and Colm; one brother, Larry Farmer.
Family and friends will be received Tuesday from 6-8pm at Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Home 186 Main Street, Powhatan Point, Ohio with Funeral Service on Wednesday at 11:00am at Riverside Baptist Church, Clarington, Ohio 43915 with Pastor Gordon Gee officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to Powhatan Volunteer Fire Department at TMCFunding.com.
