Bruce I. Coffland. 91 of Shadyside, Ohio died Monday, July 19, 2021 at Liza’s Place in Wheeling, West Virginia. He was born March 23, 1930 in Bridgeport, Ohio son of the late James E. and Mable Masterson Coffland.
Bruce has lived in Shadyside, Moundsville, Plano, Texas and Zephyrhills, Florida. Bruce served his country in the Army Reserve (463rd Engineer Battalion) retiring at Major in 1990. He worked for Ohio Edison, CONSOL Energy and North American Coal Company until his retirement in 1987. He was a past Grand Master of Shadyside Masonic Lodge 724 F & AM and recipient of the 60 year membership award.
Bruce was the beloved husband of the late Joanne (nee: Miller) Coffland in 1966, Nancy (Nee: Girts) Coffland in 1984 and Peggy (Nee: Gyolai) in 2005 and father of the late Cathy Long.
Survived in companionship of 13 years by Phyllis Andrecht; dearest brother, Jim and his wife Sue Coffland of Zephyrhills, Florida; Loving father of Marc Coffland and wife Susan of Naples, Florida, Matt Coffland and wife Lisa of Shadyside, Ohio, Mel Coffland and wife, Kristy of Bellaire, Ohio and Miles Coffland and wife Rachelle of Mount Pleasant, Michigan. Also dear grandfather of Matthew Coffland and wife Whitney and Macy Coffland of Shadyside, Ohio, Daniel Coffland of Bristol, Rhode Island, Kaitlyn Gallagher and husband Frank of State College, Pennsylvania, Reed and Jack Coffland of Columbus, Ohio, Michael and Zackary Coffland of Mount pleasant, Michigan, Kimberlee Travis and husband, David of Logan, Ohio, Tyfanie and Levi Long of Arizona.
Services and burial will be in Bushnell, Florida at the Florida National Cemetery.
