Charles M Goodman Jr, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, nephew, cousin, uncle and friend, stepped out of this world, and into the arms of the Lord on Tuesday, August 10th, 2021.He was the husband of Wilmetta (VanNest) Goodman, they shared 52 years of marriage together.
Born on February 19th, 1950 in Bellaire, OH, he was the son of the late Charles “ Hap” and Ann (Martin) Goodman. He graduated from Shadyside High School in 1968 and enlisted in the US Coast Guard. After serving 4 years he took work at Allison Mine until the time of its closure. He retired from Motor Panels in Shadyside in his later years. Chuck was a caregiver for his Aunt Mildred Martin up until the day of his passing.
He enjoyed his Friday trips to Rogers, visiting with family and friends, and Sunday morning services at the Hillcrest Bible Church in Bethesda.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his younger sister Susan(Goodman) Hess.
Chuck is survived by his wife Wilmetta (VanNest) Goodman of Armstrong Mills, daughter and son in law LouAnn and Kevin Morris of Bethesda, son and daughter-in-law Brent and Jessica (Trigg) Goodman of Shadyside, Aunt Mildred Martin of Shadyside, sister and brother in law Mary and Roger DeFelice of Bellaire, and the joys of his life…his grandchildren, Kyla, Kolby, Kendol, Alexis, and Caden. Many nieces, nephews & cousins.
Family and friends will be received at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Homes & Crematory 3900 Central Avenue, Shadyside on Monday from 12 Noon until time of serives at 2 pm with Pastor Jack Palmer officiating. Interment in the Holly Memorial, Pleasant Grove, Ohio with Full Military Honors by the Belmont County Veterans Association.
