Denise Karen Johnson, 62, of Bellaire, Ohio was born March 19, 1959 in Bellaire, Ohio passed at home on Friday, September 3, 2021.
Denise was a member of the St. John’s Catholic Church, a retired case manager of Marshall and Ohio Counties, she took care of her family and served her community, all who knew Denise couldn’t help but love her smile; she loved people and they all loved her!
She is preceded in death by her maternal great grandparents, William and Lillie Johnson, maternal grandmother, Ruth N. Wade, paternal grandparents, Barbara and Edwin Richardson, father, William “Bill” Richardson, sister, Rayla Johnson Scott, brothers, Royce Smelly, Dorian “Squeak” Richardson, William “Billy” Mayfield and niece, Denise L. Scott.
She is survived by her mother, Shirley J. Mallory of Bellaire, Ohio, sister, Renee Perdue Rucker (Michael) of Atlanta, Georgia, brothers, Charles Perdue of Cincinnati, Ohio, Shawn Michael Wallace (Jenyne) of Ashtabula, Ohio and Edwin “Tink” Richardson of Columbus, Ohio, nephews, Trekell Safreed, Rashane Wade and Ryan Patterson all of Bellaire, Ohio, niece, Rheeana Wade (Evalena) of Bellaire, Ohio and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Homes & Crematory 441 37th Street Bellaire, Ohio on Thursday from 11 am until time of services at 1 pm with Fr. Daniel Heusel and Elder Darrell Parker officiating. Interment in the High Ridge Cemetery in Bellaire, Ohio. Deepest condolences to the family. Denise was one of my oldest and dearest. It's hard to imagine the world without her unbridled love and laughter. So many good times together. My favorite poet. And a lovely soul. Love you and miss you always.
