Doris Louise Newhart, 94, of Shadyside, OH passed away on Thursday September 2nd, 2021 at Liza’s Place in Wheeling, WV.
She was born July 28th, 1927 in Wheeling, WV, the daughter of the late Robert and Gertrude (Custer) Trussell. She was a member of the Lincoln Avenue United Methodist Church in Shadyside, OH, where she was an active children’s Sunday School teacher.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband Robert “Bob” St. Clair Newhart and a brother, Melvin Trussell.
Doris is survived by 2 sons, Robert (Wendy) Newhart and Timothy Jason Newhart, both of Shadyside,OH; 3 Grandchildren, Robert, Brianna and Alyssa Newhart, a dearly loved caregiver and niece Marcia Soos, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Family and Friends will be received at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Home 3900 Central Avenue, Shadyside, OH on Tuesday Sept. 7th from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. Services will be held on Wednesday Sept. 8th at the Lincoln Avenue United Methodist Church in Shadyside at 11:00 AM with Reverend Seth Filburn officiating. Interment will follow at the Powhatan Point Cemetery in Powhatan Point, OH.

Bob and Tim and Family. We are so very sorry for the loss of your beautiful mother. She was such a wonderful lady! It was always so nice talking to her when we became her neighbor over 11 years ago. She always had a smile on her face. It wont be the same without seeing her across the street. My family and I send you our love and may God be with all of you thru this difficult time.
Tim and Bob I know you will miss her terribly. She was such a good person.

So sorry for the loss of your Mom. Your parents were great neighbors on 40 th Street. Spent many an afternoon sitting on the porch with your Mom. You were the light and love of her and your Dad’s lives! They were so proud to call you their sons!
