Ethel M. Johnson 92, of Bellaire, Ohio died April 20, 201,7 at East Ohio Regional Hospital, Martins Ferry, OH.
Ethel was born February 7, 1925, in Wheeling, WV a daughter of the late William and Iona Thorburn Bishop.
Ethel was retired from the former Delta Concrete Co. of Bellaire, and a member of St. John Catholic Church, Bellaire, OH.
She loved playing card games with family and friends.
Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents, was her husband, Charles W.”Bill” Johnson, 4 children; Gregory Allan Johnson, Kurt Richard Johnson, Jeffrey Michael Johnson, and Denise Jean Johnson, brothers, Edgar Bishop, Richard Bishop, and infant brother, Herbert Bishop, two sisters, Betty Osterman, and Martha Sorge.
Surviving are her children; Mark (Lori) Johnson of New Springfield, OH, Alane Johnson of Bellaire, OH, Neal (Pamela) Johnson of Bellaire, OH and Luke (Claudia) Johnson of Shadyside, OH, a sister, Eleanor Sneddon of Wheeling, WV, 4 grandchildren, Jarrod (Hannah), Lindsay, Meghan (Jeff) and Derek, 2 great- grandchildren, Kayden and Skylar, several nieces ,nephews and friends.
Family and friends will be received 2-4pm & 6-8 Sunday at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Homes and Crematory, 441 37th Street, Bellaire, Ohio.
Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be at 10am Monday at St. John Catholic Church Bellaire, Oh with Fr, Daniel Heusel as Celebrant.
Interment will be at the convenience of the family at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Wheeling WV.
Vigil service will be held at 7:30 pm Sunday at the Funeral Home.
