Etta Mae Hess, 90, of Powhatan Pt., OH, died Monday, October 26, 2020, at Good Shepherd Nursing Home in Wheeling, WV.
She was born October 15, 1930 in Dilles Bottom, Ohio a daughter of the late Helen and Wilford Baker.
Etta was a graduate of Shadyside Highschool. She was a long-time member of Amity Methodist Church in Powhatan Pt., Oh where she was a member of the church choir and prayer warriors. Etta was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Earl W. Hess, her infant daughter, Dana Rose Hess and son in-law, Gerard Olinski.
Surviving are her son, Michael Hess, Daughter, Cindy Jo DiSalvio, both of Powhatan Pt., Ohio, sister, Peggy (Kenneth) Eimer of Martins Ferry, Ohio, grandchildren, Jerry (Janis) Olinski, Janelle (Ed Brown) McLeod, Stephanie (Waylon) Works, great grandchildren, Kaine McLeod, Jodee Mae Rose McLeod, Wyatt Works, Michael Wood, Ted Wood and Tom Wood. Etta is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Homes & Crematory 186 Main Street Powhatan Point, OH 43942 on Thursday, October 29, 2020 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm until time of services which will be held Thursday October 29, 2020 1:00 pm at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Home – Powhatan Point Chapel with Rev. Teresa Bobot officiating. Interment will follow at Powhatan Cemetery Powhatan Point,OH.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, social distancing and facial coverings will be required during visitation and service.
