Evelyn Baker 89 of Jacobsburg Ohio died Saturday April 29, 2017 at Shadyside Care Center.
She was born September 29, 1927 a daughter of the late Edgar and Austie (Ryan) Dunlap in Bellaire, Ohio.
Evelyn was a homemaker and a Christian by faith. She was very active in the Powhatan Church of Christ and was a member of Senior Citizens of Powhatan.
She was married to Russell Eugene Baker on July 23, 1944 and shared many wonderful years together.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
She was also the last of her siblings who preceded her, Faye Lovejoy, Betty Shcramm, Richard Dunlap and Roger Dunlap.
In addition she was preceded in death by one great grandson Walker Werkau.
She is survived by her children, Joyce Ann (Larry) McNear of Powhatan Point, Ohio, Samuel (Beth) Baker of Granview, TX, Connie Boyce of Fairmont, WV, James (Sharon Sue) Baker of Jacobsburg, OH and Charles (Candy) Baker of Hannibal, OH.
In addition she is survived by 14 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, 14 step-great-grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren and 10 step-great-great-grandchildren along with many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Homes & Crematory, 186 Main Street, Powhatan Point, Ohio 43942 on Tuesday May 2, 2017 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm.
Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday May 3, 2017 at 1 pm with Pastor William Coker Jr. officiating.
Burial will follow in Powhatan Cemetery.

Miss Evelyn was such a pleasant woman, even when I'd wake her at 5am for her morning medication. I enjoyed the time I got to spend with her while working at Shadyside. John and I share your sorrow. Treasure the memories.
