Evelyn L. Brown Adriano, 97 of Shadyside, Ohio, died Wednesday, December 29, 2021.

She was born April 23, 1924 in Armstrongs Mills, Ohio, a daughter of the late Ira and Grace (Sindledecker) Rhodes.

Evelyn was a member of the Shadyside Christian Church, Women’s Club, Over 50 Club, Red Hats, Democrat Ladies, and the American Legion Women’s Auxillary, and Owner of the B&E Bar and Grille.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Gilbert “Doc’ Brown on October 29, 1976 and her second husband, Clarence A. Adriano on March 24, 2001, daughter; Carol Tokarz, brother; Gerald “Jerry” Rhodes, two sisters; Betty Jean Rhodes and Irene Virginia Rhodes, four sons-in-law; Bob, Buster, Butch and John.

Surviving are her children, Jo Ann Moore of California, Patricia L. Stewart of Shadyside, Ohio, Mickey (Chuck) Conaway of Shadyside, Ohio, Penny (John Stanko) Florence of Shadyside, Ohio and Gilbert “Bo” Brown of Shadyside, Ohio. She was blessed with 11 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren, and a nephew; James (Carolyn) Rhodes of Tiltonsville, Ohio.

Family and friends will be received Monday January 3, 2022 at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Homes & Crematory 3900 Central Avenue Shadyside, OH 43947 from 2pm until the time of service at 6pm. Final arrangements will be held at the convenience of the family in Powhatan Cemetery, Powhatan Point, Ohio.
