George E. Cline, 95 of Bellaire, Ohio died Saturday, February 6, 2016.

 

He was born on August 2, 1920 in Sistersville, West Virginia a son of the late Clem and Mary Kernen Cline.

 

George was a retired carpenter with Carpenter’s Local 3 of Wheeling. He was a sixty-nine year member of the carpenter’s local, a Methodist by faith, lifetime member of the Elks Lodge #333 in Sistersville, West Virginia for sixty-eight years and the NRA. He held a private pilot’s license and enjoyed shooting at his shooting range. George was a US Army veteran of World War II.

 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Louise Patterson Cline on August 19, 2012 and his brothers and sisters.

 

Surviving are his children, Kim (Joe) West of Wheeling, West Virginia, Pamela (Erich) Schramm of Bellaire, Ohio and George (Patricia) Cline of Hidden Meadows, California. Also four grandchildren, Joey West, Alex West, Brian Cline and Steven Cline, three great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

 

Family and friends will be received at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Homes & Crematory 441 37th Street Bellaire, Ohio on Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm where services will be held on Saturday at 2 pm with Rev. James Hoff officiating. Interment in the Davis Cemetery in Bellaire, Ohio.

 

Belmont County Council of the American Legion will conduct Full Military Honors at the funeral home on Saturday at 1:45 pm.
