My deepest sympathy to the Donahue family. Buzz was the epitome of what a coach should be – knowledgeable, caring, nurturing, and fair. I truly valued playing for him as he helped me grow far beyond being an athlete. I have coached youth sports for many years and I have tried to mold my philosophy after what Buzz instilled in me. Rest in Peace Coach

With deepest sympathy to the family. Buzz was a class man and a true friend to all. He was a blessing to not only Bellaire but anyone who meet him no matter where you were from. I’m grateful I could call him my friend. He will be greatly missed by all. RIP

To the family of Buzzie Donahue, Many a great person called Bellaire home. Many of us from St. John’s called Bellaire home. Buzzie was Bellaire–he was St. John’s–he was gifted beyond education. He was one of the Donahue’s and one of the best. He was tough—he was fair—-he was funny. I might have been a little Bellaire boy but Buzzie always had time for us. Heaven just received another great Bellaire boy———-Buzz Donahue. Rest-In-Peace …and Thank You !

You can’t think of St. Johns without thinking of Buzzy. We have grown up listening to coaching stories and then were able to know Buzzy ourselves as players. The love and dedication he had for the sports’ program set such an example. He will be missed!

Buzz was very supportive of me in some of the toughest time of my life. He was Always a consistent gentleman and Christian example. I went to thank him later in life for helping me, and all I heard from Buzzy was how proud he was of me. He was always a selfless man.!
