Harriet Elizabeth Hurd, 93 of Bellaire, Ohio died Wednesday November 28, 2018 at Shadyside Care Center.
She was born January 17, 1925 in McMechen, WV a daughter of the late Victor and Freda (Blake) Williams.
Harriet was a homemaker and a Christian by faith. She was a good cook and made the best pies.
Her favorite pastime was spending time at Senecaville Lake.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, John Edward Hurd and her siblings, Minnie Campbell, Marcella Vinka and Victor Williams.
Harriet is survived by her daughters, Louise McCracken of Bellaire, Ohio and Peggy (John) Byles of Belmont, Ohio as well as a sister Phyllis Dodds of Bellaire, Ohio.
In addition she is survived by four grandchildren, Candi McCracken, Cindy (Brian) Smith, Jonathan Byles (Darla Dombroski) and Carolyn Byles; four great-grandchildren, Anthony Byles, Seth Reed (Stacey Meadows), Andrew Reed and Emily (Adam) Brewster as well as a great-great granddaughter Addison Renee Reed.
Family and friends will be received at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Homes & Crematory 441, 37th Street Bellaire, Ohio 43906 on Friday November 30, 2018 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday December 1st at 1 pm with Pastor Jerry Garloch officiating.
Burial will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens in Pleasant Grove, Ohio.
