Harry E. Violet, 89 of Shadyside, Ohio died Sunday, March 27, 2016 at the East Ohio Regional Hospital in Martins Ferry, Ohio.
He was born December 2, 1926 in Wheeling, West Virginia a son of the late Edward and Dorothy Shaffer Violet.
Harry was a retired mechanic for Conrail and a Catholic by faith.
In addition his parents, he was preceded in death by three daughters, Diana Fields, Debbie Holzopfel and Pamela Crum, grandson, Dan Tribett, Jr. and two brothers, Robert and Ernie Violet.
Surviving are his daughters, Bobbie (Tom) Ferguson of Shadyside, Ohio and Kathy (Chuck) Mesmer of Destrehan, Louisiana, four sisters, Delores Haglock of Wheeling, WV, Margaret Case of Bridgeport, OH, Sondra Myers of Wheeling, WV and Melissa Smith of Bellaire, OH and four brothers, Thomas Violet of Wheeling, WV, Edward Violet of Bellaire, OH, David Violet of Wheeling, WV and Kenny Violet of Bellaire, OH. Also eleven grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, one great great grandson and many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received for a memorial visitation on Thursday from 1 pm until the time of the Celebration of Harry’s life at 2 pm with Pastor Jerry Garloch. Inurnment will be in the Greenwood Cemetery in Bellaire, Ohio.
