Hazel Mae Bittengle, 80 of Shadyside, Ohio died Saturday, May 5, 2018 in the Shadyside Care Center.
She was born December 5, 1937 in Bellaire, Ohio a daughter of the late John Groves and Mary Erba Cowperthwaite.
Hazel was a retired secretary for the Wheeling Bronze Company and a Presbyterian by faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Robert Bittengle, her son, Joseph R. Bittengle, Jr., sister, Mary Frances Cross and brother, Jack Groves.
Surviving are her daughter, Deanne R. Bittengle of Shadyside, Ohio, two grandsons, Joseph Bittengle and Adam Bittengle and four great grandchildren.
At Hazel’s request there will be no services. Inurnment in the Greenwood Cemetery in Bellaire.

So sorry to hear of Hazel’s passing. She was a wonderful person. She took care of my son while I worked as Interim Pastor at Shadyside. She was “ Grandma He!” My love and condolences are with you Deanne.
