Hazel (Rachael) Marie Cox Runyon, 83, of Shadyside, Ohio danced joyfully into the presence of Jesus on September 5, 2018.
She was born a coal miner’s daughter on June 2, 1935 in Coal Fire, WV to William & Grace Roark Cox.
A Baptist by faith, she served a multitude of people as a trusted spiritual advisor for over 30 years.
Her charisma, zest for life, wit, giving nature, and straight forward demeanor will be cherished and greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
In addition to her parents, she has been reunited with her brothers, Carlos and Donald Cox, along with many loved ones and friends.
Celebrating her journey are her brother, David Cox of San Diego CA, her children, Susan Runyon-Wiggins of Indianapolis IN, Terrie (John) Caiazza and William Marty (Lori) Runyon of Shadyside, Ohio, Christina (Tim) Wizba of Osprey FL, 7 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren in whom she delighted.
In accordance with her wishes no formal services will be held. Interment at Highland Memory Gardens in Pecks Mill, WV. Her life was a gift to the world and her reward is her life hereafter.

My friend.When i first met Rachesl,we became instant good friends,we laughed,we cried,we told each other our problems and we had fun. Went to Jambo, what a time. I wish i could have been there with you,told you how much i will miss you. Our last phone call,we laughed so much and always told each other , love you.
