Herbert “Pokey” W. Sullivan, of Powhatan Point, OH, died September 27, 2020 at Reynold’s Memorial Hospital. Pokey was born August 11, 1934 in Bellaire, OH to his parents, Herbert and Elizabeth Sullivan.
Pokey graduated from Powhatan High School. He was the owner of Pokey’s Nite Club in Powhatan, OH and a retired machinist for Conalco. He enjoyed golfing and was seen as the honorary mayor of Clair Mar Golf Course.
Pokey was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, LaDonna Sullivan, his son, Tracy Sullivan, and brother, Donald Sullivan.
Pokey is survived by his daughter, Wendy (Harold) Stewart, daughter in-law, Meralin Sullivan, three sisters, Nellie Suponcic, Patricia Kurtzman, Peggy Sullivan and one brother, John “Jack” Sullivan. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, Chad Clifford, Robert Davis II, Justin Crane, Brandon Crane, Anthony Stewart, Joey Stewart and one great grandchild, Penelope Clifford.
A private burial will be held Friday, October 2, 2020, at Powhatan Pt. Cemetery at 2pm.
