Homer N. “Pork” Greathouse, 77, of Bellaire, OH died Thursday, January 9, 2020 at his home. He was born December 11, 1942 in New Martinsville, WV., a son of the late Homer E. and Evelyn Buck Greathouse.
Homer was employee of the former Imperial Glass Corp. of Bellaire, former member of the New Martinsville Volunteer Fire Department, Civil Defense Department, Rock Hill Volunteer Fire Department. He also, was a volunteer for Bellaire Salvation Army Canteen, a bell ringer for 40 years, and served on the Disaster Service.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, David Lee Greathouse; three sisters, Betty, Donna and Nancy.
Surviving are his wife of 52 years, Charlotte J. Dennis Greathouse; a son, Roy Nelson (Tiffany) Greathouse all of Bellaire; a brother, Robert (Sandra) Greathouse of New Martinsville; sisters, Loretta (Chuck) Welling and Geneva (Jim) Lancaster all of New Martinsville, Ruby (Russ) Goddard of Moundsville, WV; grandchildren, David Lemoyne Greathouse, Natisha Janelle (Joshua Templeton) Greathouse, Bailee Lynn Marie Greathouse and Jessica Reed; great-grandchildren, Kevin Lemoyne Greathouse, Abigail Renee Greathouse, Nathaniel Ryder Greathouse, Kaiden Douglass Greathouse, Amylia Howard and Rayne Richards.
Friends will be received on Wednesday from 2-5 pm at the Salvation Army, Bellaire with services at 5 pm with Major Louis Patrick officiating. Final arrangements at the convenience of the family.
