John Fodor Jr., 75, of Bellaire, OH died Tuesday, January 25, 2022.
He was born May 29, 1946 in Martins Ferry, OH, a son of the late John Sr. and Rose (Bachie) Fodor.
John served his country in the US Army as a Sergeant. After returning from the Army, he was an active member of the Bellaire VFW Post 626, the American Legion Post 77 of Neffs, the Rod and Gun Club of Neffs, and the Founder of the Spirit of ’76 Volunteer Fire Department.
Surviving are his beloved wife of 54 years, Helen Fodor, their two (2) children; Andrea (Ed) Liberatore of Bridgeport, OH and Leroy (Katrina) Fodor of the Philippines, his grandchildren; CJ Anderson, Liam Liberatore, Jhazmyne Fodor, Leroy Fodor Jr., Zhoie Fodor and Austin Schwing, his siblings; Peggy (Bob) Haglock of St. Calirsville, OH, Rosemaire (Roy) Fatula of St. Clairsville, OH, Sue (John) Henthorne of Barton, OH, and Steve (Susan) Fodor of Missouri as well as, several nieces and nephews that he adored.
Family and friends will be received Friday January 28, at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Homes & Crematory 441 37th Street Bellaire, OH 43906 from 3 to 7pm with Military Honors at 6:45pm where services will be held Saturday at 10am with Kevin Roseberry as Celebrant. Interment in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
