Katherine Ladyga, 93 of Shadyside Ohio, died Saturday September 19, 2015 at Manor Care Health Services in Palm Harbor, Florida.
She was born July 28, 1922 a daughter of the late Andrew and Elizabeth (Gonda) Kissell in Shadyside, Ohio.
She was a graduate of Shadyside High School Class of 1940. Katherine was a devout Catholic and was very active in St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Shadyside, OH and was a member of the St. Mary’s Choir.
She was married for 62 years to her husband George Ladyga and built a loving home with him and raised her family.
In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her husband, her brothers, Eugene and Bernard Kissell and her sisters, Margaret and Bernadine Kissell.
She is survived by her children, George Ladyga of Indianapolis, IN, David (Donna) Ladyga of Houston, TX, Barbara (Larry) Schroeder of Kalispell, MT and Donna (Gary) Amend of Palm Harbor, FL. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Elizabeth Ladyga, Eric Amend and Jacob Ladyga as well as several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received on Saturday September 26, 2015 from 9 am until 10:45 am at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Homes & Crematory, 3900 Central Avenue, Shadyside, Ohio 43947.
Funeral liturgy with Mass will be held at 11 am on September 26, 2015 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Shadyside, Ohio with Fr. Samuel Saprano officiating. Burial will follow in Powhatan Cemetery in Powhatan Point, Ohio.
Memorial contributions can be made to St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
