Louis A. DiPaolo, Sr, 87 of St. Clairsville, Ohio died Monday, January 18, 2021 in the Wheeling Hospital. He was born January 7, 1934 in Bellaire, Ohio son of the late E. Louis and Mary Sarra DiPaolo.
Lou was the retired plant manager for Satralloy in Mingo Junction, Ohio, a Catholic by faith, member of the Sons of Italy Lodge 754 Bellaire, Ohio and the Belmont Hills Country Club. He graduated from St. John Central High School and West Liberty State College and served in the US Army during the Korean War.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Grace Nickerson and Teresa Fabry.
Surviving are his wife, Sandra Tucker DiPaolo, three children, Michelle (Ronald) Matella of Lake Worth, Florida, Louis A. (Shelly) DiPaolo of Tallahasse, Florida and Francine (Michael) Sadowski of Florence, Montana. Also eight grandchildren, Matthew Matella, Andrew (Laura) Matella, Maggie Matella, Christian (Ashlee) DiPaolo, Nathaniel DiPaolo, Ryan Sadowski, Alyssa (Dan) Daley and Aaron (Paige) Sadowski, seven great grandchildren, Joseph, Emily, Olivia, Avery, Savannah, Clara and Ellie and several nieces and nephews.
Private visitation will be held at the convenience of the family. Private funeral services will be held on Thursday at 1 pm at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Homes & Crematory 441 37th Street Bellaire, Ohio with Fr. Daniel Heusel officiating.
