Nicholas Makris 84 of Powhatan Point, Ohio died Wednesday, January 8, 2020
at the Wheeling Hospital in Wheeling, West Virginia.
He was born October 16, 1935 in Belmont County, Ohio son of the late Emanuel and Mary Tolzda Makris.
Nick was retired from the maintenance department of the former Ormet Corporation, a US Army veteran of the Korean War and a Catholic.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Maxine C. Densmore Makris on June 7, 2011 and his brother, Bill Makris.
Surviving are his children, Angela L. (Brian Ady) Makris and John E. (Julie Richardson) Makris both of Powhatan Point, Ohio and his grandson, Carson Makris. Also several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Homes & Crematory 186 Main Street Powhatan Point, Ohio on Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm where services will be held on Saturday at 11 am with Fr. Daniel Heusel officiating. Interment in the Powhatan Cemetery in Powhatan Point, Ohio.
