Olga McVey, 93 of Powhatan Point, Ohio died Thursday July 16, 2020 at Moundview Healthcare in Moundsville, WV.
She was born April 17, 1927 a daughter of the late Andrew and Katherine (Slatt) Susac in Provident, Ohio.
Olga was a homemaker and a Catholic by faith.
She was a member of the Ladies Legion Auxiliary.
Olga was well known for her cooking and she loved entertaining for her family and friends.
Olga was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Leonard McVey, her brothers John and Michael Susac and her sisters, Helen Ramsey, Rose Boltz and Margaret Sweetnich.
She is survived by her daughter Olgalynne of Shadyside, Ohio and her sons, Leonard “Jim” McVey of Powhatan Pt. OH, Mark McVey of Powhatan Pt. OH and Michael (Kathy) McVey of Columbus, OH.
In addition she is survived by a sister-in-law, Ann Marie “Caldwell” Patterson of Powhatan Pt. OH, her grandchildren, Heather (Matt) Potts, Megan (Tom) Jewell, Ashley (Jason) McCloud, Christopher Ross, Laci (Scott) Strode and Crystal (Chris) Sander; as well as her great-grandchildren, Taylor, Dylan, Tori, and Devyn Potts, Flannery Jewell, Karsyn McVey, Caleb, Brady, Camden and Ella Rose Strode, Hailey and Hayden Sander and one great-great grandchild, Quincy, several nieces and nephews and special nieces Pixie Boltz and Suzanne Hendershot, along with her Godchild, Carolyn Homko.
Family and friends will be received at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Homes & Crematory, 186 Main st. Powhatan Point, Ohio 43942 on Monday July 20, 2020 from 11 am until time of service at 1 pm with John McVey officiating.
Burial will follow in Powhatan Cemetery.
