Richard Lee “Dick” Williams, 76, of Bellaire, OH, formerly of Powhatan PT, OH died December 12, 2018, at his home.
Dick was born August 19, 1942, in Bellaire, OH, a son of the late Delmas G. and Hazel A. Messenger Williams.
He was retired from North American Coal Corp and was the owner of Williams Construction Company Powhatan PT. He was a member of the Powhatan Church of the Nazarene and the Jacobsburg Bible Church. He was an Army Veteran.
Preceding him in death, in addition to his parents, was his first wife, Patricia (Bickmeier) Williams in 2007, a step-daughter, Sherry Ward, three brothers, John, and Red Williams, and Bob Messenger.
Surviving is his wife, Sharon Cordery Vargo Williams, two daughters, Lori (Harry) Stewart of Powhatan PT, OH and Kathy (Joanne Garber) Williams of New Concord, OH, step-children; Glen (Millie) Vargo of Centerville, OH, Anthony (Sue) Vargo of Keller, TX, Richard (Liz) Vargo of Patalaska, OH, Mike Vargo of Woodsfield, OH, and Dawn (Neil) Stebbins of Sistersville, WV, two brothers, Joe (Pat) Williams of Syracuse, NY and Charlie (Marilyn) Williams of Wheeling, WV, Two sisters, Donna Palmer of Powhatan PT, OH and Louise Britton of Kentucky,his aunt, Betty Boyd of Michigan, 4 grandchildren; Rachael, Jonathan, Rebecca and Colt, 3 great-grandchildren; Isaac, Brycen and Isabella, many nieces and nephews,
Family and friends will be received from 2-4pm & 6-8 pm Monday at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Homes and Crematory, 186 Main Street, Powhatan PT, Ohio where services will be held at 11 am Tuesday with Pastors William Coker Jr. and Donald J. Cordery officiating.
Entombment follows at Holly Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, Pleasant Grove, OH.
Powhatan Veterans Honor Guard will conduct Military honors, Tuesday at 10;45 pm.

I’m sorry I can’t be with you but I send my love and prayers. Sharon…You are so lucky to have had the love of two men in this lifetime. Keep all the good memories alive now and they will see you through.We will all miss him. I love you so and I pray God will carry you at this time.
