Marling, Russell T.68, of Shadyside, Ohio passed away Saturday, May 26, 2018, surrounded by his family.
He was born September 20, 1949, in Bellaire, Ohio a son of the late Robert R. and Ida (Crall) Marling.
He was retired from the former, Consol Coal Corporations # 4 mine Clarington, OH, was a member of Masonic Lodge #724 F&Am Shadyside, OH, a member of the Osiris Shrine Temple, Wheeling, WV, and a member of the Hillbilly Clan, he was an Air Force Veteran during the Vietnam era and a Methodist by faith.
Preceding him in death, in addition to his parents, was a sister Midge Boles.
Surviving is his wife,Nancy S. (Weeks) Marling, a son, Jason (Kim) Marling of Bridgeport, OH , a daughter, Mindy (Richard) Wiley of Bellaire,OH, brother-in-law, Bob Boles of Shadyside,OH, a grandson, J.B. Marling, a granddaughter, Erica Marling and his beloved dog, Charlie.
Family and friends will be received on Wednesday from 2 pm -8 pm at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Homes and Crematory, 3900 Central Avenue, Shadyside, OH where funeral services will be held at 11am Thursday with Pastor Phil Bliss officiating.
Burial follows at Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, Ohio.
Masonic services will be at 7 pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
Belmont County Veterans Association will conduct Graveside Services.

So sorry to hear of your loss. My mother, Marilyn Marling, and I took ceramic classes with Teddy in Shadyside years ago. He was a very gifted ceramic artist and a very fun, good teacher.
