Sally J. Johnson, 73, of St. Clairsville, OH passed away surrounded by her loving family and friends Friday, October 19, 2018 at her home. She was born December 29, 1944 in Marion, OH a daughter of the late Robert A. and Harriet A. Nippert Willey.
Sally was a longtime Teller/Loan Originator with Fed One Bank, Belmont National Bank and Huntington Bank and most recently worked part-time for Karen Derosa at Goodman Realty. Sally was a member of the American Legion Post 159 Ladies Auxiliary.
Sally was an amazing mother, wife and grandmother who had a heart of gold and had a smile that could light up a room.
Surviving are her husband Richard L. “Rick” Johnson of St. Clairsville; children, Christopher D. (Robbe) Mehl of North Canton, OH, Scott A. (Lauren) Mehl of Avon Lake, OH, Lisa M. (Autumn) Mehl-Hamrick of Gahanna, OH, Christopher L. (Rachel) Johnson of Cumming, GA, David M. Johnson of New Orleans, LA; a brother, Steve A. Willey of Modesto, CA; three grandchildren, Brock Mehl, Dylan Johnson, Julia Mehl; two nephews and two nieces.
Sally’s body may have given out, but her courage, spirit and strength did not. It will live on in the lives of her husband and children forever.
Friends will be received on Friday from 2-5 pm at Beck-Altmeyer Funeral Home & Crematory 204 West Main Street St. Clairsville, OH with a prayer service at 5 pm with Rev. Tom Jones officiating. Final arrangements at the convenience of the family.
