Sheila Foughty, 70 of Powhatan Point, Ohio died Monday May 8, 2017 at her home.

She was born May 6, 1947 in Captina, WV, a daughter of Doris (Darrah) Persinger and the late Lawrence Persinger Jr.

Sheila attended the Powhatan Nazarene Church and loved games and computers.

She was especially fond of her great nephew and niece.

She worked for many years in Las Vegas at various casinos as a money changer.

Sheila was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her sister Jackie McGurty of Moundsville, WV and a nephew Michael T. (Melissa) McGurty of Cannonsburg, PA.

In addition she is survived by her great nephew Oscar Finn McGurty, 7 and her great niece Bronywn Claire McGurty, 4. In accordance with her wishes no formal service will be held.

Arrangements by the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Homes & Crematory 186 Main St. Powhatan Point, Ohio 43947.

Final disposition will be held at the convenience of the family.

I know you will be miss dear Sheila. Many that met you loved you. I will always remember our days together at River High School and the years we had after. You were and always will be my best friend. I have missed you.
