Shirley Ann Johnson-Mallory, 78, of Bellaire, Ohio died Thursday April 14, 2022 at the WVU Medicine Wheeling Hospital, Wheeling, West Virginia.
She was born May 21, 1943 in Bellaire, Ohio daughter of the late James “Shag” Thomas and Ruth Naomi Wade.
Shirley was the retired Assistant Director of CAC, the Director of Head Start, Chairman of Alternative Residency Program and the Board of Belomar and a member of the First Baptist Church of Bellaire, Ohio.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Edward Johnson and James Mallory, daughters, Rayla Johnson Scott and Denise K. Johnson, granddaughter. Denise L. Scott, sisters, Lena “Penny” Long, Lillian Jean Wade, Cynthia Thomas and brother, Jerry Thomas.
Surviving are her children, Ryan Patterson of Columbus, Ohio, Rheeana T. (Jeremiah) Wade of Bellaire, Ohio and Rashane Wade of Bellaire, Ohio, sisters, Cynthia Wade (Marion) Black of Columbus, Ohio. Toni R. (Ron) Sinclair of Wheeling, West Virginia, Robin D. (Robert) Ford of Columbus, Ohio and Patricia A. Thomas of Portland, Oregon and brothers, Isaiah “Ike” R. (Jeanette) Wade, Jr. of Wintersville, Ohio, James “Squire” Thomas of Portland, Oregon and William Brian Thomas of Gresham, Oregon. Also one granddaughter, Evalena Wade, one great grandson, Tre Kell Safreed and a host of nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Homes & Crematory 441 37th Street Bellaire, Ohio on Thursday April 21, 2022 from 11 am until time of services at 1 pm with Elder Darrell T. Parker officiating. Interment in the High Ridge Cemetery in Bellaire, Ohio.
