Stanley Hurchot of Tiltonsville, Ohio formerly of Lafferty, Ohio died Friday, August 24, 2018 at the Valley Hospice South’s Liza’s Place.

He was born March 17, 1922 in Maynard, Ohio a son of the late John and Anna Penksa Hurchot.

Stanley was a retired coal miner for the former Bannock Coal Company, a US Army veteran of World War II and Russian Orthodox by faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ann Marie Korunych Hurchot on February 18, 2004 and several sisters.

Surviving are his special friend, Mary Goolie with whom he made his home, Brian (Megan) Goolie and their son, Jacob Goolie of Martins Ferry, Ohio. Also several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received at the Beck-Altmeyer Funeral Home & Crematory 204 West Main Street St. Clairsville, Ohio on Thursday from 11 am until time of services at 1pm with Fr. Michael C. Kabel officiating. Interment in the Union Cemetery, St. Clairsville, Ohio with Full Military Honors conducted by the Belmont County Veterans Association.
