Vivian “Joyce” Van Horne, 81, of St. Clairsville, OH died Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at her home. She was born July 15, 1936 in Maynard, OH a daughter of the late L. Pierce and G. Esther Williams Shrieve.

Joyce was a retired bank teller for Belmont Savings Bank, a member of Thoburn United Methodist Church, St. Clairsville Child Study Club, a former member of St. Clairsville Order of Eastern Star, a volunteer at Oglebay Park Garden Center, Belmont Hills Country Club and the St. Clairsville Alumni Association.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Candice Patricia Van Horne.

Surviving are her husband, John W. “Jack” Van Horne of St. Clairsville; a daughter, Jodi (Mark) Mitchell of Rockville, MD; a sister, Patricia (Glenn) Grimes of Wintersville, OH; two nieces and one nephew.

Friends will be received on Friday from 11 am until time of funeral services at 1 pm at Thoburn United Methodist Church with Rev. Adam Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery, St. Clairsville.

Arrangements by Beck-Altmeyer Funeral Home & Crematory, St. Clairsville.
