We are so sorry to hear of Clara's passing. I have so many wonderful memories of going to Rigas' with my family, especially my Grandfather, Abe Stein. My kids remember going there when they were little and when they left Clara giving them a candy bar, such a special treat. Sarah remembers going with her Great Grandfather for lunch when we were in town, my Dad would call Clara or Rosalie and you would have their table ready. I will miss Clara's warm loving nature and how you made everyone feel like family. I especially remember that feeling when Aunt Flo Mendelson passed and you opened the restaurant and your hearts to the family after the funeral. You even gave my grown kids a candy bar when we left, that is a wonderful memory they will always have. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this time.

I was thankful and grateful to have the opportunity to be part of the Rigas Restaurant family for a long time and had the chance to meet and get to know alot of people. Clara never met a stranger you came into the restaurant regardless for the first time or the 100th time u were always treated like family she would go out of her way to make everyone feel at home. The community has definitely lost one of the most beautiful souls to ever exist in this world and there will definitely be a good that will never be filled because Clara was one of a kind . It is with great sadness that I hear of the passing of such a great lady. That was my Mom's favorite place to go for dinner when I took her out shopping. Everyone was always so nice and friendly, especially Mrs Rigas and Rosalie, who were always SO sweet to my Mom and good friends to me. Even when she had Alzheimer's disease and I still brought her in as much as I could as long as I could. The Rigas' and staff were wonderful, patient with my Mom and helped me keep an eye on her while we were there. I'll always appreciate and remember Clara's compassion and understanding during that time. I'll always miss that restaurant she and her husband and family worked SO hard to make a welcoming place to go enjoy a great meal and atmosphere. Love,Light,Healing,Strength and Peace to ALL her family, friends and the community who mourn her loss.

I have nothing but fond memories of Mrs. Rigas. I think back of all of the Dinners that I’ve had there. my favorite was always around the Christmas holidays I liked seeing all of the nice Christmas Decorations. It was always a part of our family tradition to go shopping at Stone and Thomas in Wheeling and then have dinner at the restaurant. I will always remember her work ethic, even in her 70’s she would still come into the restaurant to work in the all of those years and 1000’s of meals later I’ve only sent one meal back. That’s one helluva track record for customer service. She will always be lived and missed by countless friends and family. Rest In Peace.
