Dear Sue, Mike and Mark and Beth
Lisa and I wish to extend our condolences to all of you, I loved your dad's sense of humor and he was such a good man and father. His memory brings a smile to my heart. When my mom passed, I was so sad but as time goes by the great memories of your fathers love and goodness will live on. And remeber the promise.... those who die in Christ will see each other one day in everlasting joy. Death is never the end.

Joseph seemed to be everywhere at St. Michael's Church. He was in the choir, served as an usher, was President of our Holy Name Society, was in the St. Francis Society, rang the church bells before Mass, and did many other things including cutting the grass and repairing windows. Father Yontz used to call him the "Chief Engineer" of St. Michael's. He stayed with the choir even when he was older and climbing the stairs to the choir loft was painful for him. He had a wonderful smile and was a model Catholic.
He served in the air force and was in bombers over Nazi Germany during World War II. After the war was over, he flew over Germany and dropped food. Even though he was in the air force, he was intensely interested in submarines and trains.
He was optimistic and cheerful. I will miss him.

What a wonderful , gentle soul. Joe was a friend to everyone. He loved life and always had a smile on his face. Today Heaven is a little brighter.

Dear Ones --
I had prayer at Joseph's bedside, yesterday, as I did my Wednesday room visits. I just want you to know that all was very calm; and I could see that he was peaceful and close to our loving Lord.
May God's peace and blessings be yours during this most tender season; and, may He give you many lovely memories, so that you may always have roses in December.
Ever hoping . . .
Always in Jesus,
Maryann (Music Ministry Volunteer)
