Condolences for William D. “Bill” Thomas

My condolences on the coach's passing. Fond memories of playing for him. He showed patience with me even though I probably didn't deserve his kindness. Truly a person for young athletes to be around as he understood there was more to be gained from the experience than just the game.

Dave and Family- Very sorry to hear about your dad. He was a very nice guy and great to talk to. He always had a smile on his face when I saw him. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Coach Thomas was a coach and mentor during my years at BHS. His example inspired be to go into teaching, although it took me thirty years before I made it to the classroom (after college and my service in the military). He was a great inspiration.

This was a wonderful human being who touched so many, many lives.....I know he meant a lot to us. We send my deepest condolences to his wife and children and extended family. He left a lasting legacy of kindness and humor in his academic and coaching career. God bless him as he reached the gates of Heaven and may his family take comfort in the memories he left behind.
